The Sheep Station Cup, held annually at the Ratho Farm Golf Course in Bothwell, has become a highlight for local farmers and community members across Tasmania. On 14 February 2025, golfers gathered again for this charity golf day, all in the spirit of giving back.
As a proud sponsor of the Sheep Station Cup, we were thrilled to see our team not only contribute financially but also take part in the day’s events.
Representing our Hobart office, consultants Hilton Henning, Alistair Brooks, Alex Burbury and Fletcher Pegus took to the greens for the four-man Ambrose, a 9-hole competition. The day was filled with laughter, friendly competition and great conversation, all under fantastic weather conditions. For them, it was more than just a round of golf. It was a chance to catch up with clients, connect with local farmers, and celebrate our shared commitment to supporting the agricultural community where we live and work.
Since its inception in 2018, this event has united people and raised vital funds for local projects and groups that support rural communities. Established by local farmers in Bothwell, the event aims to make a genuine difference in the region.
This year’s fundraising efforts were dedicated to three deeply valued organisations:
- Bothwell District High School – Supporting the next generation of students in the region.
- Rural Alive and Well – Providing early intervention and suicide prevention support for remote communities.
- Navigate Family Services – Delivering professional assistance to families navigating neurodiversity and mental health challenges.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors and participants, a total of $40,000 was raised, with the funds being equally distributed among these organisations.
Pinion Advisory is proud to stand alongside other sponsors and participants in supporting initiatives that enhance the well-being of regional Australia. We look forward to future Sheep Station Cups and continuing our involvement in meaningful community projects that make a difference. Check out some of the pictures from the day.
