Didn’t submit your EOI for the GPSA grain emissions baselining project? There is still time.
While there has been great interest in the Grain Producers of South Australia emissions baselining project, expressions of interest is still open for the following locations:
- South east
- Mallee
- Kangaroo Island and Fleurieu Peninsula
The project is free for South Australian grain producers and results in an emissions estimation prepared for their property.
About the project
Grain Producers of South Australia (GPSA) wish to determine a baseline emissions estimation for the grain production in SA. Aggregated and deidentified data will feed into the SA Grain Sustainability Roadmap and inform decision making and policy planning.
Currently, there is a lack of verified emissions data with representation across the commodities and state to sufficiently conduct such an exercise.
Participating growers will be supported by Pinion Advisory consultants to use their farm production data to conduct an emissions baseline of their farming operation. Calculations will be conducted via the grain greenhouse accounting framework tool which is aligned with the national greenhouse gas inventory. Data will be collected and analysed over a three-year production period.
